Franschhoek – South Africa

Our Wine

We try to make a slightly different South African wine: fresher and less ‘jammy’, without overpowering alcohol. We monitor our grapes carefully and look for phenolic ripeness rather than sugar levels. We harvest when the phenolic compounds, such as tannins, colour pigments and flavonoids, have matured to an optimal level of flavour, texture and balance. Maintenance of our vineyards and the winemaking process are under supervision of our winemaker Alexandra McFarlane.

Wines IN SMALL BATCHES

Craftsmanship in Every Bottle

On just one hectare, we produce 4,000–5,000 bottles annually from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Chenin Blanc. Every vine is hand-tended, every grape is hand-picked, every wine is carefully aged in fine French oak. The result? Wines of balance, freshness, and finesse—crafted to express time and place.

We follow a meticulous, hands-on approach:

  • Low yields to ensure concentration and balance
  • Selective green harvest to ensure quality fruit
  • Manual harvesting for precision
  • Extended aging in premium French oak for structure and elegance
